The Asa Wright Center is very nice...

The Asa Wright Center is very nice. The veranda at the center allows you to enjoy a nice sandwich after the trail with birds coming very close to you. It is the perfect spot to see all kinds of birds and take nice pictures.

Errol, our driver to and from the Asa Wright Center was not a driver. He was a living encyclopedia about Trinidad and Tobago. The 3 hours with him in the car were amazing as we learnt so much about the island.

I highly recommend the tour, especially if you can get Errol as a guide.

Awesome Place!

We didn't want to leave. Make sure there's plenty of time to relax on the veranda and be surrounded by magnificent hummingbirds. Put the camera down for a bit and just let yourself experience the winged fairies. The walk in the rainforest was very interesting, led by a tour guide who was very patient and extremely well-informed.

We stayed for 2 nights over New Year. The location is stunning and peaceful. The birds are lovely to watch every day. We had really informative guides that were on hand all the time to provide information. The food is good and there is plenty of it. We really enjoyed our stay and it was a great place to start our travels.

Errol our guide was an integral part of the tour and sights. He made it complete. We learned so much about him regarding the birds and wildlife and the Trinidad itself and various cultures. He was awesome and a great human being and we are very happy to have him as our friend.
